Background & Purpose
The Mike Borg Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of USAYESS Co-Founder and long-time President, Mike Borg. Mike had a passion for youth shooting sports and was always working on new ideas to engage youth and enhance the youth experience in shotgun shooting sports.

Eligibility Requirements
• USAYESS high school junior and senior members advancing into a degree-seeking program who are not full-time employees at the institution are eligible for this award.
• Applicant must have participated in USAYESS for at least one full year before applying and competing in their state championship, Regional championship, and National Championship.
• Applicants must be in good standing with their High School and maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Grade Levels: Junior, Senior

Selection Process
Electronic notification will be sent to confirm applications have been received. A confidential National Scholarships Committee, appointed annually by the USAYESS Board of Directors, will review materials to make the selection.
Winners will be notified by email and recognized during the awards ceremony at the National Junior Clay Target Championships.
